Deceased mother from Metro Atlanta, who departed for a trip a few days prior, discovered at MARTA station

The death of a woman in metro Atlanta is currently under investigation by the Atlanta police.

At around 5:39 pm on Friday, officers were dispatched to the West End MARTA Station situated at 680 Lee Street SW. The report was about an unresponsive person.

During the investigation, law enforcement officials stumbled upon a female individual who was later recognized as Chanell Crosby, aged 35.

Unfortunately, she passed away after some time.

On July 14, police were notified by Crosby’s family that she had gone missing.

According to the authorities, Crosby departed from her residence on Sunday in the company of her partner, Jamal Harvey, to travel to Macon.

They never heard from her again after that.

A relative of Harvey disclosed that he conversed with Crosby’s friends, but he professed to being unaware of her whereabouts. Harvey admitted to leaving her in the middle part of Georgia, but he did not provide any specific location.

Atlanta police will take charge of the investigation into her death, even though her body was found on MARTA property.
