Washington: The 72-year-old woman was attacked with a potentially hazardous weapon, and the Metropolitan Police Department is still looking into the incident.
Authorities claim that on February 5th, Michael Alston, 58, of Washington, D.C., was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and strangulation after he allegedly assaulted, strangled, and threatened a 72-year-old woman with a knife. The victim was able to get away.
After appearing before a magistrate judge, Alston was given a GPS monitoring release. The investigation into this is still ongoing.
