Davenport Resident Gets 86-Month Prison Sentence for Conspiring to Distribute Cocaine

A court in Davenport, Iowa has recently sentenced Mario Dominick Clark, a 44-year-old resident of the city, to 86 months in federal prison. The sentence was handed down on November 20, 2023, and was a result of Clark’s involvement in a conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

In 2022, an investigation uncovered that Clark had a habit of traveling to Chicago to obtain cocaine, which he would later distribute upon returning to the Quad Cities. Law enforcement acted on this information and used a confidential informant to make controlled purchases of cocaine supplied by Clark on several occasions.

Clark has had previous encounters with the law related to drug offenses. Back in 2014, he was found guilty of participating in a conspiracy to distribute cocaine in the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois. After serving his 86-month prison term, Clark will be under six years of supervised release. It’s worth mentioning that federal sentences do not encompass parole.
