Construction worker’s identity revealed in fatal Borough Park building collapse

Mocobizscene-The police have identified the man who died in a partial building collapse in Borough Park.

Juan Tamayo, a 33-year-old construction worker from Queens, tragically lost his life while working on a construction site. The incident occurred when the building’s first floor collapsed into the basement on 50th Street.

The Department of Buildings has stated that the vacant building underwent unauthorized structural changes, compromising its stability. As a result, the DOB has issued a complete vacate order for the property.
