Commanders fans express outrage over Magic Johnson’s viral tweet

On Sunday, the New York Giants pulled off a shocking victory against the Washington Commanders. This unexpected turn of events prompted Magic Johnson, a minority owner of the Commanders, to tweet a message that quickly went viral and caught the attention of the entire NFL community.

If you’re not following Magic Johnson’s social media, you might have missed out on his habit of tweeting about game results across various leagues, including the NBA, MLB, and NFL. One thing you’ll notice is that Magic has a knack for stating the obvious like nobody else.

Following the loss of the Commanders on Sunday, he took to Twitter to share some of the game’s statistics.

“I can’t believe it! The Washington Commanders gave away the ball six times today, resulting in the Giants scoring 24 points off turnovers. Unfortunately, we lost 31-19.”

Johnson’s tweet amused some fans who joked that he had merely glanced at the box score of the game without even watching it. The call for change within the organization was echoed by Commanders fans who interpreted the tweet differently. They implored Johnson and his ownership group to make significant changes to the team.

After a promising 2-0 start to the season, it seemed like the Commanders had the potential to become a surprise NFC contender. However, things have taken a sharp turn for the worse, as their latest defeat brings their record to 4-7 for the year.

At the start of the year, rumors were already circulating that head coach Ron Rivera might be on the hot seat. With the new ownership in Washington, it may only be a matter of time before the Commanders decide to part ways with Rivera.
