Christmas Night in New Orleans Witnesses Two Additional Shootings

Mocobizscene- The wave of violence during the extended Christmas weekend persisted in New Orleans even on Christmas night. One of the victims was a child.

The NOPD Public Affairs Division informed the media that the shooting on Virgilian Street is currently under investigation. According to their statement, a juvenile with a gunshot wound was taken to a local hospital by private means.

She mentioned that it was just before 8:00pm. No additional details were disclosed. Just over an hour later, another round of gunfire broke the silence.

In an email, Landry informed that the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) is currently conducting an investigation into a shooting incident that took place in the 4400 block of Duplessis Street.

At 9:11 p.m., a call was received with no further details provided at this time. In the past 24 hours, the city experienced a series of shootings, culminating in the tragic murder of a woman at Canal Street and Exchange Place on Christmas Eve night.
