Mocobizscene- Authorities have announced that a child who was abducted in Long Beach has been found safe within an hour of the Amber Alert being issued.
The police issued an alert on Tuesday at around 7 p.m. following an incident where a parent had left a 2021 Honda Accord running and unattended at the intersection of 1st Street and Linden Avenue. During this time, the vehicle was stolen, and unfortunate 4-year-old Justin Chan was inside.
If you happen to come across 4-year-old Justin Chan in the Long Beach area or spot a 2021 gray Honda Accord with license plate 8XPG349, please immediately contact 911. By 8 p.m., authorities had found the vehicle containing the child in Long Beach on Pine Avenue. Paramedics were summoned to assess the child’s condition, but there were no immediate signs of harm.
In the footage captured by AIR7 HD, a man who is believed to be the boy’s father can be seen embracing him at the location where the vehicle was found. Reagan Dunn and her friend Yenny Lu, according to Reagan Dunn, were discussing the topic. We spontaneously decided to embark on a car hunt, driving around aimlessly in search of the perfect vehicle.
“We received an Amber Alert on our phone, so we made the decision to begin our search,” Dunn shared with Eyewitness News.
We began our journey by driving around for approximately 10 minutes. Once our initial route had come to an end, we made the decision to continue our search.
As I was sitting in the passenger seat, I happened to glance over and caught sight of a gray Honda Accord. Something about it struck me as odd, so I quickly noted down the license plate number – 8XP. Without wasting a moment, I urged the driver to turn around and find a place to park. My instincts told me that something was amiss. In a state of urgency, I dialed 911 and reported what I had just witnessed. Without hesitation, we crossed the street, and to our relief, the license plate on the parked car matched the one I had seen earlier.
The witnesses remained at the scene until the police arrived. They observed the young boy sitting in the back of the vehicle. He seemed bewildered and frightened, although thankfully he appeared physically unharmed.
He seemed to have a sense of security.
