Charges Filed Against Mississippi Mother for the Death of Her Two-Year-Old Son

A two-year-old boy in Mississippi has tragically lost his life, and his mother has been charged in connection with his death. The incident occurred in Lauderdale County.

According to The Meridian Star, the occurrence took place at a residence located in the 2600 block of Bolen Long Creek Road, a few moments before 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18.

According to the investigators, the initial evidence suggested that the child was drowned. Subsequently, McDevitt was charged with murder and granted a bond of $500,000 by Calhoun.

McDevitt is currently being held at the Lauderdale County Detention Center after being booked.
