Mocobizscene- According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, they have successfully apprehended the driver who engaged in a high-speed chase, ultimately crashing into a sheriff’s vehicle and triggering a prolonged standoff in Bellflower.
LASD reported that sheriff’s deputies on routine patrol spotted a stolen Dodge Charger at a motel on Thursday. The deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, which led the driver to crash into a patrol vehicle. Subsequently, the driver fled into the motel.
Witnesses remember hearing a loud noise as the pursuit suspect collided with authorities on Thursday, bringing the chase to a dramatic conclusion.
“I heard a sudden ‘Boom!’ and the impact was unmistakable,” one witness recounted to NBC4.
After approximately two hours, the suspect willingly surrendered to the authorities at around 12:30 p.m. During the incident, three individuals emerged from the motel, leading to the apprehension of two individuals.
The unidentified individuals are currently facing charges that involve assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer and vehicular assault. There were no reported injuries.
