Mocobizscene- According to officials, a man who was convicted of attempted second-degree murder has gone missing from a Male Community Reentry Program in Los Angeles.
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation received an alert just before midnight regarding the removal of an ankle monitor. A headcount conducted at an MCRP home revealed that the missing inmate is Adolfo Casillas, a 26-year-old individual.
According to the CDCR, Casillas is described as 5-foot-10, weighing 170 pounds. He has brown eyes, black hair, and was last seen wearing gray shorts and a light-gray hoodie. Casillas, who had been convicted of attempted second-degree murder with a sentencing enhancement under the Street Gang Act, began his sentence of 14 years at the L.A. MCRP on January 23.
According to the CDCR, the MCRP offers eligible individuals the opportunity to complete their prison sentences in a re-entry center. This program aims to facilitate a smoother transition from custody to the community. It is specifically designed for men who have approximately one year remaining in their prison sentence.
