Authorities Report Shooting Incident Involving 13-Year-Old Boy In Newark

Mocobizscene- Police received a report of shots fired at around 10:43 a.m. in the 100 block of Leslie Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a young boy who had been shot. The incident occurred at Leslie Street, and the boy was immediately transported to University Hospital for medical treatment, according to Newark Public Safety Director, Fritz Fragé.

The Bragaw Avenue School was briefly put on lockdown following the shooting incident, according to Fragé. Fragé stated that the incident is currently being investigated.
