Arrest Made In Connection With Alleged Photographing Of Culver Academies Students On Campus

Mocobizscene- A man was taken into custody on Wednesday after reportedly photographing students from Culver Academies on the school campus in Marshall County, Indiana.

James Renick, a 74-year-old resident of Beech Grove, has been arrested and is facing charges of unlawfully entering school property as a serious sex offender, as per the report from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the police, they received a complaint about a sex offender trespassing on the premises of Culver Academies and allegedly taking photos of students. After conducting an investigation, it was established that Renick was the individual involved. The police then passed on the findings to the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office in order to obtain an arrest warrant.

Renick had previously faced the same charge on January 13, 2021. This was after his arrest for photographing swimmers at the Shamrock Invitational held at Notre Dame in 2020.

Renick has been taken into custody and is currently being held at the Marshall County Jail. In order to secure his release, a cash bond of $1,500 has been set.
