Arlington police arrest 6 minors for attempted carjacking

ARLINGTON, Va.- In the bustling city of Arlington, Virginia, exciting developments are taking place. At approximately 5:39 p.m. on January 27, authorities responded to reports of an alleged robbery in the 500 block of 12th Street.

At around 5:50 p.m., the police received a report of an armed robbery on the 1600 block of S. Eads Street. Upon arrival, the officers were informed that a group of several males had approached another person from behind. One of the males allegedly displayed a firearm during the incident.

According to officials, the woman hurled her phone and then made a quick escape. The suspects reportedly seized her phone and promptly fled the scene.

Officials reported that following the incidents, a group of six juveniles was observed entering a Metro station by officers, who promptly detained them. During the process, a BB gun and the victim’s cell phone were discovered.

The juveniles obtained petitions for their involvement in attempted carjackings, robbery, conspiracy to commit a felony, and the use or display of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
