Mocobizscene- In a remarkable turn of events, a woman played a crucial role in assisting federal law enforcement officials in the apprehension of a Latin King gang member in Miami. As a result of her assistance, the gang member was sentenced to more than thirty years in prison on Wednesday, as confirmed by federal prosecutors. This case serves as a testament to the dedication and effectiveness of collaboration between civilians and law enforcement agencies in the pursuit of justice.
Jason Wagner, also known as King Ace, pleaded with the woman to withdraw the charges against him and not testify in court. However, federal prosecutors commended her for her courage.
Federal authorities became aware of the brave woman’s situation when she confided in a Good Samaritan that Wagner, 41, had been holding her hostage at his residence.
U.S. Homeland Security Investigations Miami agents collaborated with the Miami-Dade Police Department’s Human Trafficking Squad and the South Florida Human Trafficking Task Force to work on the case.
