The group ‘Missourians for Constitutional Freedom’ is organizing signature collection events throughout the state. They have a 90-day window to collect 185,000 signatures needed to place the matter on the ballot.
Republicans in Jefferson City are aiming to increase the difficulty of amending the state constitution. The initiative petition process, which previously facilitated the legalization of both recreational and medical marijuana in the state, is their target.
