Mocobizscene-A woman in her 40s was killed in a hit-and-run accident in South Los Angeles on Tuesday; the police are looking into the incident.
According to a statement, the collision occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. close to Vernon Avenue and Western Avenue. Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department were called to the scene after hearing about the incident.
The 42-year-old pedestrian was taken to the hospital by paramedics, but she was subsequently declared deceased.
The hit-and-run motorist left the scene of the collision at first, according to the police, but he subsequently came back and was questioned. Although the woman was not taken into custody, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office will be presented with a case by the detectives in order to file considerations.
