4 children in critical condition after car chase and crash involving 10 kids in central Georgia, flown to Atlanta hospital.

An Atlanta hospital is currently treating four children who are in critical condition following a chase and crash that took place in middle Georgia.

According to Bibb County deputies, a report of car break-ins was received at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.

During their investigation, law enforcement officials came across the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer that was reportedly used in the burglary. Upon further inquiry, they discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen just a day earlier. When deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver refused to comply and initiated a chase with the authorities.

The car was subjected to a PIT maneuver by a Georgia State Patrol trooper, causing it to collide with a utility pole.

After attempting to flee the scene, 17-year-old Jakhori Jamal Woolfolk, who was behind the wheel, was apprehended by authorities.

According to the deputies, the car crash involved a group of 10 people.

The car comprises a group of 10 individuals, all under the age of 18, with ages ranging from 11 to 17 years old.

Four children, including two 13-year-old boys, a 12-year-old boy, and a 14-year-old boy, have been airlifted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where they are currently in critical condition.

The hospital received an 11-year-old with non-life-threatening injuries.

The authorities detained three additional boys, aged 12, 13, and 14, and accused them of receiving stolen property and entering an automobile. They were brought to the youth detention center for further processing.

The authorities booked Woolfolk with theft by receiving stolen property-auto and took him into custody at the Bibb County Jail.
