Two Were Sentenced In Orange County Narcotics Cases

In separate narcotics-related cases, the Orange County Court has rendered sentences in the cases of two men.

Shariff Gual, 38, of Deerpark, was given a 10-year state prison term and five years of post-release supervision in connection with his guilty plea to criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to District Attorney David Hoovler.

Reginald Francis was apprehended in Milford, Pennsylvania on narcotics charges, including the sale and possession of cocaine with the intent of reselling it to individuals in Orange County, Montague, New Jersey, and Milford, Pennsylvania. Gual had been collaborating with Francis.

After pleading guilty to narcotic possession, Eric Brown, 51, of Enfield, was sentenced to six years in prison and two years of post-release supervision in a separate case.

Following a traffic stop on Route 17 in the Town of Chester, he was apprehended. An investigation revealed a packet containing 108 grams of cocaine on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Following a subsequent search, more than one kilogram of cocaine was seized; he subsequently acknowledged to possessing it with the intention of selling it.
