Saturday marks the commencement of the public state surplus auction

This Saturday, October 21, marks the start of the upcoming online public state surplus property auction in Montgomery, Alabama. WSFA reported this exciting news for auction enthusiasts to eagerly anticipate.

The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs’ Surplus Property Division is set to host an online auction which will be available on GovDeals.com/AlabamaSurplus. This auction provides an opportunity for the public to purchase items that are no longer needed by state and federal agencies, including items abandoned at various airports.

The bidding will be open for a week, starting from Saturday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 a.m. and concluding at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29. You can view pictures of a selection of the items that will be auctioned here.

If you are interested in purchasing items from an auction, you can visit the Surplus Property Division’s Montgomery Distribution Center located at 4590 Mobile Highway. The auction items are available for inspection from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting from Monday, Oct. 23 through Friday, Oct. 27.

The online description of each item lot contains all the relevant information available. It is important to note that all sales are final and items are sold as-is without any warranty.
