Police Identify Gaithersburg Man’s Body which Recovered in Seneca Creek

The adult man found in Seneca Creek on July 9, 2023, has been identified by the Montgomery County Department of Police. On Tuesday, July 11, family members found out that the man was Jose Israel Centeno Velasquez, also known as Carlos. The 43-year-old was last seen leaving his Girard Street home in Gaithersburg on Friday, July 7. His death is being investigated as a possible murder.
