A Gurley man was killed in a multi-vehicle incident that happened around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the collision occurred when Michael P. Whitt, 45, was driving a 2010 Lincoln Navigator and collided with a 2018 Nissan Sentra. Following the initial impact, the Lincoln collided with a 2019 Ford F-350.
Whitt was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident, according to ALEA, and was pronounced dead at the site.
According to ALEA, the driver of the Ford was hurt and was sent to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.
The accident happened on US 431 near Dug Hill Road, about a mile south of Huntsville in Madison County.
