O’Charley’s closes its Prattville restaurant

The O’Charley’s branch situated in Prattville has ceased operations for good.

The closure of the 2301 Cobbs Ford Road restaurant was announced through a sign posted on its doors. Additionally, emails were sent out to O’Club members on Monday morning, notifying them of the closure and providing information on how to redeem any gift cards or promotions at nearby locations.

Unfortunately, the email did not provide any explanation for the closure. We tried to contact company officials for further clarification, but they were not available for comment at the moment.

As I walked into the restaurant on a late Monday morning, I noticed a group of nearly a dozen people diligently working to clean the building.

In the late 1990s, O’Charley’s became one of the first national restaurant chains to set up shop in Prattville. This was shortly after it was announced that the county would be home to a stop on the renowned Robert Trent Jones Trail, a popular golfing destination across the country.

The opening of the golf destination sparked a surge in the growth of hotels and restaurants in the city.
