Opelika, Alabama authorities have arrested and charged three women with organized theft in connection to multiple shoplifting incidents.
According to Opelika police, a series of thefts took place on November 17th. The initial investigation commenced at Ulta on Enterprise Drive. Security footage revealed that female suspects had allegedly stolen several items before fleeing the store in a white Chevy Tahoe.
On November 20th, a theft took place at Dick’s Sporting Goods. According to the store manager, the suspects escaped in a red Nissan Altima. While the police were searching the area, they were alerted to another shoplifting incident at Best Buy on Tiger Town Parkway.
As law enforcement officials were addressing the situation at Best Buy, they simultaneously managed to locate the suspected vehicle and commence a pursuit, which culminated in the apprehension of three suspects.
Three individuals from Montgomery, namely Chelsie Ann High (28 years old), Tandreak Rache Pettus (31 years old), and Dominque Shaqur McGhee (27 years old), have been charged with organized retail theft. It is worth noting that High has been charged with an additional felony for attempting to elude.
The Ulta theft suspects were identified as all three women. At present, the investigation is still in progress and there are more charges that may be added in the near future.
