Montgomery shooting on Tuesday night leaves 3 people dead

According to the Montgomery Police Department, a shooting incident occurred late Tuesday evening that resulted in the death of three men.

At around 9 p.m., authorities received reports of individuals being shot in the 4100 block of Troy Highway. Police and fire medics were immediately dispatched to the scene.

At 4111 Troy Hwy, the focal point of the heightened police activity is Tienda Los Hermanos, which appears to be a Hispanic grocery store according to online listings.

Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed and several city council members were spotted on the scene by a WSFA 12 News crew. The mayor and councilors had attended the Montgomery City Council meeting earlier that evening, where the mayor presented a comprehensive plan to tackle crime and requested a multi-million dollar investment from council members.
