Montgomery ( MocoBizScene) – According to the Montgomery Police Department, there was a double-shooting on Monday morning that resulted in one fatality and another individual fighting for their life at a hospital in Montgomery.
Emergency responders were called to the 1400 block of Eastern Boulevard at approximately 10:15 a.m. after receiving reports of two individuals who had been shot. Police and fire medics arrived at the scene promptly and began to provide immediate assistance.
The authorities have reported that a female victim was declared deceased at the location, while a male victim was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Currently, the names of the individuals involved have not been disclosed.
According to recent developments, law enforcement has apprehended a person who they believe may have information pertinent to the ongoing investigation into the homicide case. The authorities are currently conducting a thorough inquiry to ascertain if the individual in custody has any connection to the crime.
It is unclear what the motive behind the incident was. Unfortunately, this marks the 56th homicide in Montgomery this year.
