Montgomery man detained for attempted murder charged with homicide

Authorities in Montgomery have confirmed that an individual who is currently being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility has been charged in connection with a separate homicide case.

According to Maj. Saba Coleman, Deandre Lucas, a 20-year-old resident of Montgomery, was issued a murder warrant on Tuesday in relation to a triple shooting that occurred on August 8. Unfortunately, one of the victims, 21-year-old Ethan McCall, succumbed to his injuries on September 13.

According to reports, Lucas is currently being held at the Montgomery County Detention Facility for five alleged counts of attempted murder in August. He is accused of firing at a car with five individuals inside on August 2nd.

It is currently unclear what the motive is for the situation at hand.
