Millbrook Police respond to a barricaded subject who threatens to harm himself

The Millbrook Police Department was called to Red Oak Drive in Millbrook this afternoon around 6:30 p.m. for a report of a suicidal person who had barricaded themself on a property and was threatening physical harm.

Officers and doctors were successful in convincing the individual to hand over a gun and submit to medical and other assistance.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident, and officials have cleared the area.

“Fortunately, this person realized they needed help, and we are very glad of this positive outcome,” Chief P.K. Johnson told the EAN.
