Mocobizscene- A 31-year-old man from Prattville has been charged with murder by the Montgomery Police Department.
According to an email from Maj. Saba Coleman, officers have identified Travis Mims as the suspect in the shooting death of Michael Cook on May 6, 2022. It is worth noting that Cook was also from Prattville.
On November 18, 2022, the Montgomery homicide detectives served Mims while he was in the custody of the Department of Corrections on unrelated charges. On Tuesday, Mims was taken to the Montgomery County jail, held without bond.
In an email, Coleman stated that officers withhold further details about the case. A Prattville man has been arrested and is facing charges of murder in Montgomery. The incident has caused shock and concern within the community. The man is currently being held in jail as the investigation continues.
