A local business in Montgomery County was robbed, and the suspect is currently held in the detention facility. However, the robbery was not for monetary gain.
According to court records, Ronrico Scott, aged 41, was accused of stealing two cases of Corona beer and various candies from the Dollar General located near Lower Wetumpka Road and Chisholm Street around noon on Tuesday. As per the criminal complaint, he forcefully pushed past two employees while making threatening gestures and reaching for what they perceived as a gun in his pocket.
After Montgomery police investigated the case, they arrested Scott on two counts of first-degree robbery.
Bail has not yet been set.
