Individual apprehended following a police pursuit in Montgomery involving a stolen vehicle

According to the Montgomery Police Department, a man has been taken into custody on Monday after he led the police on a chase and crashed a stolen vehicle.

Around 4:45 p.m., Montgomery police made an attempt to stop a stolen vehicle in the vicinity of South Union Street and I-85. However, the vehicle declined to stop, resulting in a police chase.

According to law enforcement officials, the pursuit of the vehicle culminated in a collision near Powelldale Drive, approximately four miles from its starting point. The driver then attempted to escape on foot but was quickly apprehended in the 2800 block of Woodley Road.

Currently, there is no additional information available regarding the matter. The suspect’s charges are still pending.
