In Wetumpka, a small plane crashes along US Highway 231

WETUMPKA, Alabama – First responders are responding to a minor aviation crash near US Highway 231 and Jasmine Hill Road.

According to Wetumpka Fire Chief Greg Willis, one person was aboard the plane when it crashed, but he or she escaped major injury.

The plane’s debris is located off the road, however responding law enforcement personnel are already affecting traffic in the area.
