The CVS Pharmacy located on Atlanta Highway is set to close its doors on December 14th. CVS/Pharmacy has announced its plans to close down its store located at the intersection of Atlanta Highway and Taylor Road in the near future. According to officials from the pharmacy chain, the store located at 6990 Atlanta Highway is set to close on December 14, as confirmed by Action 8 News.
Patients have the option to transfer their prescriptions to the CVS Pharmacy at 55 Ray Thorington Road. However, they are also free to fill their prescriptions at any other CVS Pharmacy or a pharmacy of their preference.
Officials did not provide a specific reason for the closure. However, they emphasize the significance of maintaining access to pharmacy services in the communities they serve when making decisions about store closures. They take into account various factors, including local market dynamics, population shifts, store density in the community, and ensuring there are alternative geographic access points to meet the needs of the community.
According to CVS Pharmacy, there are still nine locations left in Montgomery.
