A second suspect has been detained in the shooting death of a Montgomery man

According to WSFA news, the authorities have made an arrest of another suspect in connection to the recent homicide that happened in Montgomery.

A 24-year-old man from Montgomery named Kenneth Huffman Jr. has been accused of committing two counts of capital murder in relation to the tragic and untimely death of 66-year-old Rickey Daniel. Huffman was apprehended on Tuesday and is currently being held without bail in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.

On the evening of August 25th, Daniel’s remains were discovered in the 4200 block of Sussex Drive.

Last week, authorities arrested another suspect in connection with the case. Jalyn Greene has been charged with capital murder, and her charges suggest that the shooting occurred during a robbery.

On Tuesday, in addition to the murder charges related to the case at hand, authorities also arrested Saquavion Denard, a suspect in an unrelated murder that occurred on August 25. Denard, who is only 19 years old, is being charged with fatally shooting a 15-year-old in that case.
