According to Montgomery police, a pursuit on Friday along Interstate 85 resulted in the apprehension of two suspects.
According to Maj. Saba Coleman, at around 2 p.m., officers tried to pull over a vehicle near Eastern Boulevard and Carmichael Road. However, the vehicle did not comply with the instructions and continued to move, which led to a police chase.
According to Coleman, law enforcement pursued the suspect on I-85 South and then onto I-85 North. However, during the chase, an unmarked special operations vehicle collided with a vehicle that was not involved in the pursuit.
The chase ultimately came to a halt at the intersection of Carmichael Road and Eastern Boulevard, where the suspect’s vehicle collided.
Fortunately, no one was injured in either of the crashes.
According to Coleman, two individuals have been detained, but their identities have not been disclosed yet. Charges against them are still under consideration.
