Two people have been charged after a gunshot investigation in Marshall County led to a manhunt

Two individuals have been arrested by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office following a manhunt related to a shooting.

The incident occurred at a residence on Eleven-Forty Road, where shots were fired from a vehicle into the residence, injuring the lone occupant.

Investigators identified a vehicle and persons of interest linked to the shooting and spotted the vehicle near Horseshoe Bend and Swearengin Road. Upon attempting to stop the vehicle, it fled, with a man running into nearby woods and a woman remaining inside.

The woman, identified as Francis Nicole Moore, was arrested and charged with attempting to elude possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia when meth and a syringe were found on her at the jail. The man, Daniel Ryan Long, was found hiding in an overgrown field and taken into custody.

Long was charged with attempting to elude and possession of drug paraphernalia. The vehicle was impounded in relation to the shooting investigation, and both Moore and Long remain persons of interest in the case.

No charges have been filed regarding the shooting incident at this time. Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact the sheriff’s office. The Albertville and Grant police departments, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, and Grant and Swearengin fire departments helped with the arrests.
