Two people were shot inside an East Harlem deli: an exclusive video captures the horrifying encounter

According to authorities, two people were shot inside a bodega in East Harlem on Monday.

Two males were shot inside the store on the corner of East 123 Street and 3rd Avenue around 4:45 p.m.

The victim, a 23-year-old man, was shot twice, once in the leg and once in the stomach.
A 43-year-old man was shot in the right leg.

The counter can see both victims at the bodega in surveillance video acquired exclusively by Eyewitness News.

A third individual enters the room, approaches the first victim, and appears to shoot him from behind.

The apparent gunman then flees the business, followed by a second customer. They come into contact with each other.

On the sidewalk, the second customer is shot.

The claimed gunman then runs back into the bodega, grabs their bag and leaves the scene.

Both victims were transferred to Harlem Hospital, where they were treated and released.
It is unclear what precipitated the shooting.

There have been no arrests, and the inquiry is still underway.
