Train service delays in Brooklyn after a man is fatally struck by train, say police

According to the NYPD, a tragic incident occurred early Tuesday morning at the intersection of 4th Avenue and Union Street, where a man was hit by a train and passed away.

According to the authorities, the individual was present on the railway tracks as an NBR train was approaching the station at approximately 3:30 a.m. The train operator claims that they were unaware of anyone jumping onto the tracks.

At around 4 a.m., the man was declared deceased.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has reported that delays have been experienced by the northbound D and N trains from the station mentioned. Additionally, the R train faced suspension in both directions while the police conducted their investigation, leading to further delays.

According to authorities, it is believed that the man did not fall victim to any criminal activity.
