Teenage girl, 17, arrested for carjacking and assaulting a resident in Chinatown, Chicago

Last week, a man who was 62 years old was beaten and carjacked in Chinatown, according to the Chicago police. A 17-year-old girl has been charged in connection with the incident.

On September 5th, according to authorities, the police made a statement.

According to authorities, a 17-year-old girl is facing charges of vehicular hijacking and aggravated battery as of Thursday.

According to the authorities, the 5100 block of South Wentworth Avenue was the location where the teenage suspect was apprehended on Wednesday.

After the attack, Danxin Shi, a resident of Chinatown for over a decade, has been unable to work as he used to. Being a rideshare driver, he heavily relied on his car which has been taken away from him due to the incident.

In the video, Shi can be seen making an all-out effort to prevent the robbers from stealing his car. He even puts himself directly in front of the vehicle at one point to try and halt their progress.

According to his account, he attempted to block their path, but they continued to drive.
