Suspect Accused in weekend homicide in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Montgomery police have arrested a man in connection with a homicide that occurred Saturday afternoon.

In a shocking turn of events, 21-year-old Kendarius Jaquan Coley, hailing from Montgomery, finds himself facing the grave charge of capital murder. The individual is currently being detained without bail at the Montgomery County Detention Facility.

In a tragic turn of events, Coley has become the prime suspect in the shooting death of 18-year-old Mar’Dresha Stovall. In the past few days, authorities have revealed that the incident took place in the 2200 block of Eastern Boulevard.

The authorities have refrained from releasing any information regarding a possible motive.

A suspect has been charged with capital murder in connection to a shooting in Montgomery.

According to the official records on the jail website, it has been revealed that Stovall was present inside a vehicle at the time of the incident, where he was allegedly shot from an external source.

Over the weekend, Montgomery experienced a total of four shootings, with this incident being one of them. In a series of separate incidents, the remaining three individuals were responsible for a combined total of seven victims. Fortunately, all of the victims managed to survive the encounters. As of now, authorities have not made any announcements regarding arrests in the other shootings.
