According to a recent news release from the Burlington Police Department, an investigation is underway following a shooting incident that took place in Burlington on Thursday. The victim, a man, was reportedly injured in the incident.
At approximately 3:25 p.m., the Burlington police officers were dispatched to Ross Street and Chandler Avenue due to a reported shooting incident.
Upon arrival, the officers discovered evidence of a shooting, albeit without any sign of the victim or suspect.
Shortly after, an individual aged 37 was admitted to the hospital with a gunshot wound that was not life-threatening.
After the shooting incident, the officers were able to verify that he was indeed the victim.
The inquiry is still in progress.
