Police have taken 1 person into custody after a stabbing in a home in southeast Colorado Springs

The authorities have reported that an individual has been injured and another individual has been taken into custody after a stabbing incident in a residential area in southeast Colorado Springs on Thursday morning.

Around 5:30 a.m., law enforcement officers were dispatched to a residence located on Chick Hollow Drive, near Highway 24 and Circle. Upon arriving, they discovered both the victim and the suspect present at the scene. The officers remained there for a few hours to investigate and gather evidence.

After the incident, the victim was immediately transported to the hospital for medical attention. Fortunately, the injuries sustained do not seem to pose a threat to their life.

According to the police, the suspect and victim are residents of the same house. However, it is not clear whether they have any familial relation or are just sharing the living space as roommates.

Currently, there is a lack of additional details available to the public.
