According to recent reports, a 19-year-old Kansas City resident has been apprehended for the alleged rape of a minor. It is worth noting that the accused was still a juvenile at the time of the incident. The incident is currently under investigation, and further details are yet to be disclosed.
According to the Riley Co. Police Department Activity Report, Trenton Bunnell, a 19-year-old from Kansas City, was taken into custody by law enforcement officials on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at approximately 2:45 p.m. The arrest was made following a Riley Co. District Court warrant.
According to RCPD, the warrant is related to an investigation into a rape incident that occurred in July 2022.
According to the booking report from Riley Co., Bunnell has been charged with a single count of rape where the offender is under 18 years old and the victim is under 14 years old. This is a serious accusation and Bunnell has been booked into jail for it.
Currently, he is still in custody with a bond set at $75,000, as of Wednesday.
