New York State is currently experiencing a flurry of snow as a lake effect storm prepares to unleash its might on areas surrounding the Great Lakes.
Some areas are experiencing heavy snowfall, while others are facing drought conditions. This week, certain towns are taking measures to supply water to residents who need to refill their wells at both residential and commercial properties.
It’s hard to believe, but in New York City, the iconic spot for picturesque photos and holiday strolls is experiencing a scarcity of snow.
Central Park is still on track for the longest consecutive days without receiving at least 1" of snowfall at 650 days. The prior record was 383 days. The outlook for snow in that area doesn’t appear to be improving anytime soon. Unfortunately, the forecast doesn’t look promising for any significant snowfall. However, there is some good news for those in New York State. A powerful storm is expected to bring as much as two feet of snow to certain areas this week.
