CSPD Discovers Stolen Handgun in Stolen Vehicle

According to the Colorado Spring Police Department (CSPD), a carjacking incident on September 24th led to the discovery of a stolen gun in the stolen vehicle.

At around 4:30 a.m., law enforcement officials received a report about a carjacking that took place in the vicinity of Dublin Boulevard and Rangewood Drive. After arriving at the scene, CSPD officers spoke with the victims to gather information. While they were in the middle of the process, the vehicle in question drove past them. The victims were able to positively identify the vehicle for the officers.

After a brief chase, law enforcement officials pursued the vehicle and the perpetrator then fled on foot into a nearby residential area. However, the officers were able to successfully apprehend all three suspects from the vehicle.

During the vehicle processing, CSPD uncovered a stolen semi-automatic handgun. According to CSPD, the vehicle in question was also reported stolen.
