Car Occupants Shoot and Kill Man on Scooter in NYC After Dispute

Police are looking for the person who shot and killed a scooter rider in upper Manhattan late Sunday night, just hours after another scooter rider was killed in another shooting.

WABC-TV said that the 33-year-old victim was riding his bike near West 185th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue in the city’s Washington Heights area when a car pulled up and a person got out.

After the first argument, there was a fistfight on the ground. The person in the car finally opened fire and hit the 33-year-old in the chest. The person then got back in the car and drove away.

There were two people in the car, but early reports didn’t say if the shooter was the driver or the passenger.

At the hospital, the unidentified victim was said to be dead.

A 35-year-old guy was shot and killed in a Bronx store earlier that night. He was allegedly chased by two men on a scooter, and one of them opened fire inside the deli.

At least two other people were shot Sunday night in different parts of the city.

A couple and their dog were killed by gunfire outside of a park in Washington Heights on Friday night.

The female victim, Jacqueline Billini, was 57 years old. Her home had been broken into months before.

In that situation, an angry man is said to have broken down her door and hit her with a hammer, breaking her arm. In connection with the attack, a 31-year-old neighbor was taken into custody.
