Alabama Church Group Safely Returns Home After Being Stranded in Israel Amid War

According to a press release by senior pastor George Wright, the missions team from Shades Mountain who were in Israel during the outbreak of the war has returned home safe and sound. The pastor expressed his gratitude towards God for providing His care and protection during such a challenging time. He also acknowledged the power of the prayers of many people who were concerned about the safe return of the team.

Over the course of a few days since early Saturday, more than 1,900 people have lost their lives in Israel and the Gaza Strip, marking it as the deadliest attack in Israel in decades. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel has declared war, leading to the Israeli military ordering a complete siege of the Gaza Strip and the 2.3 million Palestinians currently residing there.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine has led to a complete siege of Gaza, which has been denounced by the United Nations Secretary-General. This siege has resulted in a severe shortage of food, water, electricity, and other essential supplies, further compounded by continuous airstrikes. The issue over land rights has been a long-standing dispute, preceding this latest conflict.

As we welcome back our team with open arms, our hearts are burdened with the heinous acts of evil that have taken place recently,” he expressed. “We would like to humbly request for your support in praying for the safety and well-being of the people of Israel.”
