Troy, New York – A woman from Troy is facing murder charges following an incident in which she allegedly shot her husband during a domestic dispute.
Late on Sunday night, just past 10 p.m., law enforcement responded to a reported motor vehicle collision in the 600 block of Pine Street in Troy. Upon arrival, officers discovered an older model pickup truck that had veered off the road and collided with an embankment. Inside the truck, Quinta Dionne Maddox, aged 35 and from Troy, was found in the driver’s seat in a critical condition. Maddox managed to communicate with the responding officers, revealing that he had been shot, though his condition prevented him from providing further details.
Authorities later transported Maddox from the crash scene to Troy Regional Medical Center, where, unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
Subsequent investigations determined that the incident originated at Maddox’s residence, situated in the same 600 block of Pine Street near the crash location. It was revealed that Maddox and his wife, Tyiesha Renee Pollard, aged 41 and also from Troy, were embroiled in a domestic altercation when the shooting occurred.
Pollard has been formally charged with murder. Law enforcement authorities have indicated that she will undergo processing at the Troy City Jail before being transferred to the Pike County Jail. She is expected to be held without bond, pending an Aniah’s Law hearing.
