The killers of A$AP Mob member A$AP Press have finally been brought to justice. Chester Taylor and Darius Hastings, both 37 years old, have been sentenced to 20 years to life for shooting Pressie Taylor Jr. in the head back in 2016. While Press initially survived the attack, he tragically passed away in 2018 due to a fatal seizure caused by his injuries. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg made the announcement of the sentencing for the two men on Friday, September 8. The news, reported by HipHopDX, finally brings some closure to the A$AP Mob community and serves as a reminder that justice can prevail.
Alvin Bragg, in a statement, expressed his sadness over the loss of a young Harlemite with a bright future ahead of him, who was shot and killed by Chester Taylor and Darius Hastings. Pressie Taylor Jr. survived the shooting at first, but his life and music career were irreversibly impacted. Despite his valiant efforts to move forward, he eventually succumbed to his serious injuries, leaving his family and community mourning the loss of a talented rising star.
According to Bragg, the jury’s diligent examination of the evidence led to the conclusion that both defendants were accountable for the murder. He further expressed his hope that the punishment handed out today would offer solace to the victim’s loved ones.

The situation is unfortunate and sorrowful in every aspect.
There has been no word from A$AP Mob members regarding the sentencing, but at least the loved ones of A$AP Press can find some solace in the resolution of the matter.
May the departed soul of Press rest in peace.
