A 33-year-old man was killed in a robbery on a Brooklyn street

According to police sources, a man who was 33 years old was fatally shot in a robbery that occurred early morning outside of a gas station in Brooklyn on Sunday.

According to authorities, the man was discovered at around 4:05 a.m. with a gunshot wound in the head on Myrtle Ave. by Linden St. in Bushwick.

The man was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital in Queens by medics, but unfortunately, he could not be saved. As of now, his identity has not been made public.

According to sources within the police department, the authorities are currently searching for a group of four men. It is suspected that these individuals may have been involved in an attempted robbery of the victim’s backpack.

According to local residents, the neighbourhood is peaceful during the day. However, as night falls, the situation changes and rowdy individuals come out to indulge in drinking and brawls.

Joseph Hernandez, 53, expressed his concern about the group of people who gather near the gas station every week. According to him, they get drunk, create a mess, and even urinate on the sidewalk. Additionally, they engage in fights and break bottles, causing inconvenience to others. Despite the complaints, the owner seems indifferent towards the situation.

A nearby resident recounted a comparable incident.

According to an anonymous neighbour, it’s hard to imagine anyone being outside during the time of the incident. He believes that the area loses its charm after dark and that nothing good happens there at night. The neighbor suspects that the group of men, who usually hang out near the gas station, were up to no good, as they tend to drink and party all night long.

According to Hernandez, there was a disturbance that he heard approximately two hours prior to the shooting.

He stated that he never anticipated that the conflict would turn into a homicide.

He expressed his surprise at the lack of shootings in the midst of fights between individuals wielding bottles. “This is surprising,” he remarked. “There would be fights and these guys trying to fight each other with bottles, but never a shooting. I’m surprised right now.”

As per an employee at the gas station, “I work here and this whole incident has left me feeling uneasy. It’s absolutely insane. The entire incident took place right outside the gas station.”

No arrests have been made by the police as of yet.
