35-Year-Old Man Charged with DUI Death of Off-Duty Lincoln County Deputy

The authorities have pressed criminal charges against David Case, a 35-year-old, for his role in a tragic car accident that resulted in the death of an off-duty Lincoln County deputy. The charges against him include DWI causing death, which is a severe felony offense.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Deputy Steven Tucker of Lincoln County was involved in a head-on collision with Case’s vehicle on Route J. The report states that Case had crossed the centerline, resulting in the accident.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that there were various alcohol bottles found in Case’s vehicle, including a partially consumed Natural Light. This finding reinforces the previous conclusion that Case’s blood-alcohol content level was over twice the legal limit.

Furthermore, it was apparent that Case displayed hostility towards the medical staff who arrived at the scene of the accident. As a result, he was unable to provide any relevant information regarding the incident due to his uncooperative behavior.

According to court records, Case had previously faced legal issues when he was charged with DWI. This resulted in his arrest on May 10, 2015, in Lincoln County.

According to Prosecutor Mike Wood from Lincoln County, the latest charges against Case were just recently filed. The reason for the delay was the need for gathering accurate evidence for the case.
